Hotpoint Appliances Rwanda Ltd, a prominent name in the consumer electronics & home appliances distribution sector since 2010, on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, launched its new retail showroom in Kigali under the new brand name “HOMEPOINT.”
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Ambassador Professor Charity Manyeruke from the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Rwanda, the second Secretary from the Office of the High Commission of India (HCI) in Rwanda, Avinash Rao, industry leaders, and Hotpoint employees, among others.
Amb. Prof. Manyeruke, who was the guest of honour, did the ribbon cutting, officially declaring the HOMEPOINT Kicukiro showroom open for a wonderful shopping experience.
Located in Kicukiro district on KK15 Road (Sonatube – Bugesera Road), HOMEPOINT is poised to become a benchmark in home equipment in Rwanda. The shop showcases an expansive portfolio including the latest televisions, kitchen and home appliances, built-in appliances, audio systems, and more.
“We are thrilled to bring this world-class showroom to Kigali. This all happened because of our customers, our commitment to our customers for quality,” said Manoj Skariah, the Managing Director of Hotpoint Appliances Rwanda Ltd.
“Our customers keep approaching us and asking to improve more and more, so we’re just improving our style to reach their expectations. We have a nice group of experienced staff, technicians, who can offer all the customers’ needs.”

Hotpoint Rwanda, operating under the HOMEPOINT retail banner, continues to set itself apart by offering direct-from-brand electronics, ensuring authenticity, competitive pricing and full warranty coverage.
The company has curated a brand lineup that includes global leaders such as LG, Samsung, VON, Bosch, Philips, Black and Decker, Kenwood, Delonghi, Simfer, Ariete, Braun, Nutribullet & Hisense among many global brands.
Murli Menon, the CEO of Hotpoint, expressed his pleasure in the launch of what he called “the biggest multi-brand electronic showroom” in the country, pointing out that their products have already impressed the clients because of their quality.
“This is the biggest multi-brand electronic showroom in Rwanda. We had a few guests who said we don’t have this kind of showroom in Rwanda. There are a lot of dignitaries who come here and find it difficult to get the product that they want, but they have seen those products here today, and they are very happy today that such a showroom has been opened by us,” Mr. Menon noted.
“It’s been a wonderful journey and experience. We have grown from strength to strength, and that is what you are seeing here because this is one of our biggest electronic showrooms that we have opened today.
"We shall have more international brands coming in, such as HAIER, Brabantia, Symphony, because today we see a lot of people in Rwanda wanting quality products and quality services," Menon further stated.

With 15 years of experience in Rwanda, Hotpoint has established itself as a pioneer in retail-finance integration, having partnered with I&M Bank to run the Ryoshya Iwawe interest-free loan program.
In a continued effort to make quality products accessible, the company is now launching its “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) program, “TUNGA TUNGA” (Own-Own what you desire), offering all customers 0% interest for up to 4 months – a first-of-its-kind initiative in Rwanda.
This showroom becomes the third of its kind, adding to the other two existing HomePoint showrooms located across Kigali, including HomePoint at KIC, Former UTC Building, Kigali City Centre & at Gisimenti Building in Remera.
Menon also revealed that Hotpoint Rwanda is entering the luxury outdoor living segment through an exciting new partnership with Absolute Pools, a renowned UK-based company specialising in modern, pre-formed swimming pools.
"This new venture will introduce durable, cost-effective, and easy-to-install pre-formed pools that overcome the limitations and high costs of traditional concrete pools," Menon said.
