Australian rider Brady Gilmore claimed the 112.8-km stage two of the ongoing Tour du Rwanda 2025 in a gripping bunch sprint on Tuesday as Fabien Doubey kept the yellow jersey after finishing 21st.

The 21-year-old, riding for Israel–Premier Tech, laid down a strong sprint to pip 29 riders to the finish line in three hours and 39 seconds.

He climbed to sixth in the general classification following the stage-two victory, just six seconds shy of leader Fabien Doubey.

His teammate Itamar Einhorn and Lorrenzo Manzin of TotalEnergies emerged second and third, respectively, in the stage-two classification of the 17th edition.

Vainqueur Masengesho finished tenth to claim the Best Rwandan award of the stage. The Team Rwanda rider snatched the 18th spot in the overall classification, with 21 seconds behind the leader, Doubey.

French cyclist Fabien Doubey, riding for TotalEnergies, is leading the general classification with seven hours, two minutes, and 22 seconds after 274 kilometres of three stages and the prologue.

Milan Menten of Lotto–Dstny Development Team sit in second, levelling with Doubey at the same time.

The race continues on Wednesday, February 26, where the riders will set off in Musanze and finish in Rubavu in a 121.3-km route of stage three.
