Johnson Chidiebere Nwobodo has departed APR FC amicably after just six months with the team.
The Nigerian forward joined the league holder in July 2024 from Nigeria's Enugu Rangers but had difficulty getting regular playing time.
Chidiebere was among the players who head coach Darko Novic did not rely on throughout the first phase of the Rwanda Premier League.
When Chidiebere joined APR, he was highly rated after spearheading Enugu Rangers to the Nigeria Premier Football League championship.
However, he was unable to score or assist in the limited time he was given during the league's first phase with APR.
He is the second player to leave APR during this January transfer window, following his compatriot Godwin Odibo, who also joined the side in the summer of 2024 from Sporting Lagos.
Rwanda's military-owned side has, though, bolstered their roster during this January transfer window, signing four new players such as three forwards; Djibril Ouattara, Hakim Kiwanuka, and Denis Omedi, and one midfielder; Ismail Nshimirimana, who rejoined the side only four months after leaving.
APR finished the league's first phase in the second place in the table, sitting on 31 points, five points behind their foe, Rayon Sports.
They will return to league action squaring off against Kiyovu Sports on Saturday, 8 February, at Kigali Pele Stadium.
