Gasogi United have reached a comprehensive agreement with Emery Bayisenge, and an announcement is expected anytime soon.

The club president, Kakooza Nkuliza Charles (KNC), confirmed the signing of the defender on Tuesday, following Gasogi's narrow 4-3 triumph over Kiyovu in the Rwanda Premier League.

"There is no secret in it, the medical test has been completed and the remaining step is introducing him," KNC told the media.

KNC said he would devote more of his time, aggression, pressure, and seriousness to Gasogi once again. He also emphasized that the team will add more players, including forwards and a defender after the international break.

"We must sign a competent attacker, regardless of how much it will cost us," he said.

Bayisenge has been a free agent since leaving Kenyan Premier League outfit Gor Mahia at the end of last season after winning the league championship.

The 30-year-old centre-back is no stranger to Rwanda Premier League, having played for the likes of APR and AS Kigali before. He is anticipated to bolster the backline of Gasogi United, who are fifth in the league table with 14 points after nine matches
