“Who is our third striker? We have no striker. What Mamadou did last match (against Rayon Sports)?” APR coach Darko Novic fumes at journalists.

Mamadou hasn’t been the clinical striker APR were looking for since joining the league holder in July 2024. The 24-year-old has just scored two penalty goals this

The Mauritanian international was benched by Novic during his side’s 3-0 win due to his subpar performances in the Police and Rayon Sports matches, in which he was subbed out at the half-time break.

APR have now scored 11 goals in the league this season, with their 3-0 win over Kiyovu being the first time that they have scored more than two goals in a single league game this season.

Darko Novic’s side are fourth in the league standings with 22 points, eight points behind their bitter rival Rayon Sports, from 11 matches.
