It's fair enough to say that Fall Ngagne has taken the Rwanda Premier League by storm. The Senegalese striker starred in Rayon Sports' victory yet again, firing them to a thumping 3-0 win over Vision on Saturday evening with a brace.
Ngagne took his tally to six goals in six games and is now leading the league's scoring chart.
Hadji Iraguha also found the back of the net as Robertinho's side went six points clear at the top of the league table.
The visitors had the upper hand throughout the contest, with plenty of ball possession. They were also awfully creative in producing scoring opportunities and took a resounding 2-0 lead to the halftime break before making it 3-0 later in the second half.
Fall Ngagne opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a fine header from close range. Hadji Iraguha cut inside the box from the right and crossed for the Senegalese striker to nod the ball past Vision goalkeeper James Bienvenue.
The hosts had several scoring chances later, including the one set up by Pierrot Kwizera, a former Rayon midfielder, but Khadim Ndiaye denied his left-footed effort from long-range.
Iraguha doubled the advantage in the first half's stoppage time after Rayon Sports players, Ngagne, Richard Ndayishimiye, and Kevin Muhire, had a deft collaboration in Vision’s box and the Rwandan left winger rounded it off with an excellent finish inside the box.
Robertinho’s side retained their resolution in the second half. In the 65th minute, Ngagne thought he grabbed a brace though his goal was ruled out for offside.
It was Ngagne at it again in the 77th minute, this time with a superb left-footed strike from inside the box, following substitute Adama Bagayogo’s outstanding effort.
Bagayogo threatened to make it 4-0 when his powerful shot on the edge of the box hit the crossbar in injury time.
Rayon Sports, who are yet to lose in the league this season, stayed at the top of the league table with 26 points and have extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games this season, having won their last eight successive matches without conceding a goal.
With the defeat, Abdul Mbarushimana dropped to 15th position with eight points from 11 matches, having won just two games, drawn twice, and lost seven.
