Kiyovu Sports have moved out of the Rwanda Premier League relegation zone following their close-fought 3-2 victory over Vision on Saturday.

The Mumena-based side earned their third league triumph of the season and climbed to 14th spot with 11 points from 14 matches.

All the goals were scored in the first half in a five-goal thriller at Kigali Pele Stadium.

Kiyovu had to come from behind after Omar Nizeyimana gave Vision an early lead, with a deft tap-in in the sixth minute. However, Cedric Mugenzi levelled in the 17th minute as he headed home after Djuma Nizeyimana's cross.

Desire Mugisha put Kiyovu Sports in front for the first time in the game in the 31st minute, poking the ball into the top corner of the net from close range.

Prosper Rugangazi equalised for Abdul Mbarushimana in the 45th minute with a spectacular right-foot strike inside the box.

Vision trailed at the half-time break after Olivier Manzi scored an own goal in stoppage time of the first half.

The two sides played out a scoreless second half as Kiyovu Sports sealed a huge 3-2 win.

Vision dropped to the bottom of the league table with just nine points after 14 games and have gone four straight matches without a win.
