Lague Byiringiro says he was omitted from the Amavubi squad because head coach Frank Torsten Spittler was dissatisfied with his playing style.
"I think there is something that he didn't see in me but saw in others whom we play on the same position," Byiringiro told the Jako Media Show YouTube channel.
The Sandvikens forward has not been summoned by Torsten Spittler since March.
During his previous Amavubi game, Byiringiro had his behaviour questioned by the head coach after he furiously hit the bottle of water to express his irritation at being substituted during Rwanda’s 2-0 win over Madagascar on 25 March in a friendly match.
However, Byiringiro insisted that it was not the reason for his lack of national team call-ups as he had apologised to Torsten Spittler for his deed, adding that they now text each other and have a good relationship.
Byiringiro had Rwandans fall in love with him when he starred at the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) that took place in Cameroon early in 2021.
