Abdul Mbarushimana has been appointed as the new Vision FC head coach on a short-term deal, and he started his duties instantly.
The former Rayon Sports coach succeded Callum Shawn Serby, who recently parted ways with the newly-promoted side after being suspended on 25 October due to dreadful results.
Mbarushimana will take charge of his first match at Vision when they host the league holder, APR, on Thursday, 7 November, at Kigali Pele Stadium.
Vision sit in the 15th spot in the league table with five points from eight matches, two points ahead of rock-bottom side Kiyovu Sports.
"It's a privilege to start off with a great team like APR, who are always a title contender," Mbarushimana noted.
"We have played more games than them APR, putting us in a better rhythm than them. It's not easy, but it doesn't mean it's impossible, so we're going to try to get good results," he added.
Mbarushimana is no stranger to Rwanda's top-flight league, having worked with top teams including Bugesera, Rayon Sports, and Etoile de l'Est.
He previously managed second-tier side AS Muhanga before the two parted company in August.
