APR have booked themselves a spot in the Peace Cup quarter-finals, following their Wednesday evening's 4-0 thumping win over Musanze in the second leg of the round of 16.
Jean Bosco Ruboneka led the way, hitting a double, while Mamadou Sy and Lamine Bah contributed a goal each in their 4-0 thrashing victory.
Musanze had held APR to a scoreless deadlock in the first leg at Ubworoherane Stadium on 12 February, but they were far from their best tonight.
Darko Novic's side deservedly took an early lead, with Lamine Bah scoring from close range after Denis Omedi set him up in the fourth minute.
Ruboneka doubled the lead in the 30th minute, with a neat finish from inside the box following his beautiful combination with Mamadou Sy in the build-up.
The Rwandan midfielder netted again in the 62nd minute, this time with a chip after a blunder by Musanze goalkeeper Jean de Dieu Nsabimana, who had his hand on the ball but was unable to keep it out.
It was Mamadou Sy, the man who scored a late winner during their Sunday's league match against AS Kigali, who rounded off APR's 4-0 thumping triumph at Kigali Pele Stadium.
He headed Claude Niyomugabo's cross into the back of the net in the 76th minute.
The Mauritanian striker appeared to have found his form again as he has now scored two goals in two games.
APR will play Gasogi United, who eliminated AS Muhanga with a 3-1 aggregate score, in the quarter-finals.
In contrast, Police trounced Nyanza 3-0 in the round of 16's second leg to advance to the quarter-finals with a 4-2 overall score.
The reigning champions will face AS Kigali, who eliminated Vision with a 2-1 aggregate score, in the quarter-finals.
