Police FC have booked their place in the 2026 FERWAFA Super Cup final after defeating Rayon Sports 4–2 on penalties in a tense semi-final at Kigali Pelé Stadium.

The two sides could not be separated during the 90 minutes, with both teams struggling to find a decisive breakthrough and playing out a 0-0 draw.

The match therefore went straight to a penalty shootout, in accordance with the competition’s 2026 regulations, which don’t require extra time when the semi-final ends in a tie.

The 2026 edition marks a major change in the history of the FERWAFA Super Cup as the competition is being played in a four-team format for the first time.

The final is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, between Kiyovu Sports and Police FC, with the winner set to receive Rwf40 million while the runner-up will earn Rwf 20 million.
