Rayon Sports have extended their unbeaten streak to 14 matches in this season's league, following their resounding 2-0 win over a 10-man Police team on Saturday night.

Youssou Diagne's tap-in at the death of the first and Carnot Shami's own goal in the second half fired Robertinho's side to their 11th victory of the season to stay at the top of the league table.

Rayon Sports showed no sign of missing their skipper Kevin Muhire, who was forced out after picking up an injury in the 20th minute and replaced by Hadji Iraguha.

Youssou Diagne put the hosts ahead on the stroke of half-time with an outstanding tap-in finish after Fall Ngagne set him up in the box as the Senegalese centre-back registered his second goal with Rayon Sports.

Rayon Sports extended their lead in the 64th minute after Police defender Carnot Shami scored an own goal following Adama Bagayogo's close-range effort.

The visitors could have scored in the 80s minute when Henry Msanga forced Khadim Ndiaye to save the ball off the line after the Burundian midfielder struck from inside the box.

Shami was sent off in the 89th minute following his second yellow card for fouling Aziz Bassane on the edge of the box as Rayon Sports walked away with a 2-0 triumph.

Rayon Sports went eight points clear at the top of the table, sitting on 36 points from 14 games.

With a defeat, Vincent Mashami's team dropped to the fourth spot with 23 points from 15 games as they finished their first-leg league games on a bad note.
