Police volleyball clubs, men and women, defeated APR volleyball clubs 3-0 in Friday’s Rwanda National League Day 2 at Petit Stade.
In the men's category, Fred Musoni’s team notched up a 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-22) victory over APR VC.
On the other hand, Police WVC beat APR WVC 3-2 in a nail-biting contest in the women's category. Peter Kamasa’s side got off to a brilliant start, securing a 25-18 first-set win, but Police levelled with a 25-22 second-set triumph.
With both sides going toe-to-toe, APR WFC prevailed 30-28 in the third set before Police dominated the fourth set, winning 25-20 to force a tie-breaker set.
Police beat APR 15-11 in a tie-breaker set to clinch a close-fought 3-2 triumph.
