Mukura Victory Sports have broken the unbeaten streak of Rayon Sports, following their monumental 2-1 triumph over Robertinho's side on Saturday evening at Huye Stadium.

Jordan Nzau Dimbumba and Fred Niyonizeye scored twice in the first half to help the Huye-based side end the Blues' 14-match unbeaten streak, while Fall Ngagne's consolation goal from the spot in the second half was insufficient to save a point for the visitors.

With the victory, Mukura climbed to seventh position with 21 points, levelling on points with sixth-placed Rutsiro.

They have now won five matches out of 15, lost four times, and drawn six times.

Rayon Sports stayed at the top of the league with 36 points, five clear of APR, who have a game in hand. They have now lost one game in 15, having drawn thrice and won 11 times.
